Do you take insurance?
We do accept Medicare and Aetna but the only cover nutrition counseling for diabetes and chronic kidney disease. Sometimes they cover obestity.
Do you take Health Savings Account (HSA)?
We do accept Health Savings Account or Flex Pending Account. But its always best to check with your insurance company to confirm that nutrition counseling services are covered.
Are your services reimbursable by insurance company?
This totally depends upon your insurance plan. You would have to call and find out. But in any case we can provide you with a ‘Superbill’ with billing codes and diagnosis and you can submit it to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
What codes do you bill for nutrition counseling?
There are two codes that are billed for nutrition counseling. 97802 & 97803.
You can check with your insurance company prior to the appointment if they would cover these codes.
Can i pay cash or credit?
We accept all forms of payment. You can pay by cash, card or by check. However payment is expected at the time of your visit.
Is LEAP MRT or food sensitivity testing covered by insurance?
No, insurance does not cover food sensitivity testing. However you can submit a ‘Superbill’ for a possible reimbursement. You can ask for a superbill at the time of your visit.
